Create a Home Cinema Experience with surround speakers
Add two Sonos ERA 100 SL speakers to Sonos Ray to create a surround sound experience. Simply connect each speaker to power and position either side of your main viewing position. No need to run messy wires all around the room anymore!
The Sonos Ray is the entry point to the Sonos soundbar range, and it punches well above its price. Compact enough to sit neatly on a TV unit or tuck into a shelf, it transforms the flat, dialogue-light sound of a modern flatscreen TV into something genuinely enjoyable — without taking over the room.
The Ray connects to your TV via optical, which means it's compatible with virtually any television. Four drivers — two tweeters and two midwoofers — are all front-facing, which is a deliberate design choice that makes placement easy. It doesn't need to breathe in the same way as the Era 300, so whether it's on a shelf, a cabinet, or wall-mounted, it sounds the same wherever you put it.
Dialogue clarity is where the Ray earns its reputation. Sonos worked with Hollywood sound engineers on the tuning, and it shows — voices cut through clearly even at lower volumes. The Speech Enhancement mode in the Sonos app takes this further, making it a genuinely practical soundbar for anyone who finds themselves reaching for the remote because they can't follow what's being said on screen. Night Sound mode is equally useful, softening the gap between quiet scenes and loud ones without losing detail.
We have the Ray on demo in our Fleet showroom, often running alongside the Beam Gen 2, which makes for a useful comparison if you're deciding between the two. In most smaller to medium rooms the Ray is more than capable — it's when screen sizes get larger, or rooms more open plan, that you start to benefit from stepping up.
Like all Sonos products, the Ray fits neatly into a wider system. When the TV's off it works as a music speaker, streaming over Wi-Fi from any service via the Sonos app or Apple AirPlay 2. And if you want to build on it later, adding a pair of surround speakers or a Sub Mini is straightforward — all connected wirelessly.
Setup takes minutes. Plug in, run the Sonos app, and Trueplay will tune the soundbar to your room automatically.

Amplifiers: All four Class-D digital amplifiers have been fine-tuned to the soundbar's unique acoustic architecture.
Tweeters: Two tweeters create a crisp high-frequency response.
Midwoofers: Two high-efficiency midwoofers ensure faithful playback of mid-range frequencies and solid bass.
Bass Reflex System: Proprietary low-velocity port design minimises distortion and rounds out low-end frequencies.
Adjustable EQ: Use the Sonos app to adjust bass, treble, and loudness.
Trueplay: This software measures the acoustics of the room then fine-tunes the soundbar. Supported iOS device required. Learn more

I can't give a review on the Ray soundbar yet as I haven't been able to use it. But the service from Jennings was excellent! I would highly recommend them ?
