The Sonos Beam Ultra is a compact Dolby Atmos soundbar that sits above the standard Beam (Gen 2) in the Sonos range — a genuinely new acoustic design with nine drivers including two dedicated upward-firing tweeters, AI Speech Enhancement, and true 7.1.2 surround sound, all in a footprint barely bigger than the original Beam.
It's the option for anyone who wants better sound than Beam (Gen 2) but doesn't need — or doesn't have room for — Arc Ultra, sitting neatly between the two on both size and price.

Why we rate the Beam Ultra
We've sold Sonos soundbars in Fleet for years, and the gap between Beam (Gen 2) and Arc Ultra has always been tricky to advise on — Beam Gen 2 simulates height channels, while Arc Ultra's true Dolby Atmos needs a size and price a lot of living rooms don't have. Beam Ultra closes that gap: real upward-firing drivers in a soundbar still small enough to disappear under most TVs up to 65".
Arc Ultra suits a larger room or a TV 55" and above; Beam Ultra fits most standard living rooms, and at £300 less it's the easier recommendation for anyone not chasing the biggest soundstage Sonos makes. It's arriving in our Fleet showroom this autumn, where you'll be able to hear all three side by side before deciding.
