The Sonos Era 100 SL delivers the same outstanding stereo sound as the Era 100, with one deliberate difference — no microphone. The "SL" stands for Speakerless of voice, making it the ideal choice for anyone who prefers to keep smart speakers out of their listening environment, or simply doesn't want a microphone in the room.
Sonically it's identical to its sibling. Two tweeters angled at 45 degrees work alongside a dedicated woofer to produce true stereo separation from a single compact unit — the kind of wide, detailed soundstage you'd expect from a much larger speaker. Trueplay automatically tunes the sound to your room's acoustics, whether it's sitting on a shelf, a desk or a sideboard.
Connectivity covers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, with a USB-C port on the rear for wired connection to a turntable or line-level source via the optional USB-C Line-In adapter.
Where the Era 100 SL really comes into its own is as part of a larger Sonos system. Pair two as a stereo pair for a dedicated music room, or add them as rear surround speakers behind a Sonos Arc Ultra or Beam for a proper home cinema setup — all controlled through the Sonos app.
