Big sound from a speaker that fits in your hand
A tweeter and a mid-woofer, each with its own amplifier, give Roam 2 clear vocals and surprisingly full bass for its size. Pair two Roam 2 speakers for proper stereo on your home Wi-Fi, or group Roam 2 with any other Sonos speaker in your home.
Automatic Trueplay™ uses Roam 2's microphones to tune the sound to wherever it's playing, inside or out. Roam 2 also has a dedicated Bluetooth button and a separate power button, so it's easy to use straight out of the bag.

Waterproof and built for the outdoors
Roam 2 is rated IP67, so it's sealed against dust and can be submerged in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes. It's made for days on the beach, by the pool or in the garden.
Charge it with any USB-C cable and adapter, or drop it on a Qi wireless charger such as the magnetic Roam Wireless Charger. A USB-C power adapter isn't included.

Option 1
Make it a stereo pair
Add a second Roam 2 for stereo sound with a clear left and right channel, around the house and garden.
Only two Roam 2 speakers can be stereo paired with each other, and the pair works on your Wi-Fi network. Away from Wi-Fi, each speaker plays on its own.
Option 2
Charge it wirelessly
Drop Roam 2 onto the magnetic Roam Wireless Charger and it's always topped up and ready to grab. Roam 2 also works with any Qi wireless charger.
Option 3
Bigger sound for the garden
Group Roam 2 with Play or Move 2 for more volume and deeper bass outdoors, all controlled from the Sonos app.
Option 4
Add Sonos to more rooms
Roam 2 joins any Sonos system. Add a speaker to the kitchen or bedroom, or a soundbar for your TV, and play music everywhere at once.
Roam 2, Play or Move 2?
Roam 2 is the one to take everywhere. Play is about twice the size with stereo sound and a 24-hour battery, while Move 2 is the big, room-filling option for the garden and larger rooms.

Sonos Roam 2 review: our take
Roam 2 is the speaker people end up taking everywhere. It's light enough to forget it's in your bag, tough enough for the beach, and it sounds much bigger than it looks.
At home it's a proper Sonos speaker: it joins your system over Wi-Fi, works with the Sonos app, AirPlay 2 and voice control, and moves from kitchen to bedroom to garden with you. Away from Wi-Fi it switches to Bluetooth at the press of a button.

Is the Sonos Roam 2 waterproof?
Yes. Roam 2 is rated IP67, so it's dustproof and can be submerged in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes.
How long does the Sonos Roam 2 battery last?
Up to 10 hours of continuous playback at moderate volume. You can charge it by USB-C or with any Qi wireless charger, such as the Roam Wireless Charger.
Does the Sonos Roam 2 come with a charger?
Roam 2 comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable but no power adapter. Use a USB-C charger of 10 W (5 V/2 A) or more for the fastest charge (7.5 W works but charges more slowly), or any Qi wireless charger. Older 5 W phone chargers are not powerful enough.
What's the difference between Sonos Roam and Roam 2?
Roam 2 keeps the size, sound and IP67 rating of the original Roam, and adds a dedicated power button and a separate Bluetooth button to make setup and switching between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth easier.
Can I stereo pair two Sonos Roam 2 speakers?
Yes, on Wi-Fi. Two Roam 2 speakers can be stereo paired in the Sonos app for left and right sound, and at home the pair can also play Bluetooth audio from your phone. Away from Wi-Fi, stereo pairing is not available and each Roam 2 plays on its own. Only Roam 2 can be stereo paired with Roam 2.
Can I use the Sonos Roam 2 with Bluetooth straight out of the box?
Yes. Roam 2 works over Bluetooth straight out of the box, with no Wi-Fi or Sonos app needed: press the Bluetooth button on the back and pair it with your phone. Set it up in the Sonos app on your home Wi-Fi when you want multi-room, voice control, AirPlay 2 or stereo pairing.
