Room-filling stereo, inside and out
Two angled tweeters and a large mid-woofer, each with its own amplifier, give Move 2 wide stereo sound and deep, powerful bass: enough to fill a large room or a garden.
Automatic Trueplay™ tunes the sound to wherever Move 2 is playing. At home it joins your Sonos system over Wi-Fi 6; away from Wi-Fi it plays from your phone over Bluetooth, and you can group it with another Move 2 or a Play over Bluetooth too.

Choose Move 2 for the biggest sound and deepest bass in the range. Choose Play for stereo in a lighter speaker that's easier to carry, or Roam 2 if you want something pocketable.
24-hour battery, charging base included
Move 2 runs for up to 24 hours on a charge and lives on its charging base at home, so it's always ready to lift off and take outside. It's rated IP56 against dust and splashes, so it's at home in the garden.
Its USB-C port charges your phone from Move 2's battery, and takes the Sonos Line-In Adapter (sold separately) for a turntable or other audio source. The battery can also be replaced, so Move 2 will keep going for years.

Option 1
Make it a stereo pair
Add a second Move 2 for big stereo sound with a clear left and right channel: perfect for a patio, garden or open-plan room.
Only two Move 2 speakers can be stereo paired with each other, and the pair works on your Wi-Fi network. Away from Wi-Fi, each speaker plays on its own.
Option 2
Mount it on the wall
Keep Move 2 off the floor and out of the way with a made-to-fit Flexson wall mount, ideal for a kitchen, garage or covered patio.
Option 3
Add a smaller portable
Group Move 2 with Roam 2 or Play for music all round the house and garden. Away from home, Move 2 and Play can also be grouped over Bluetooth.
Roam 2, Play or Move 2?
Move 2 is the biggest and most powerful of the three. If you want something lighter to carry, Play gives stereo sound at around 1.3 kg, and Roam 2 fits in a pocket.

Sonos Move 2 review: our take
Move 2 is the portable for people who don't want to compromise on sound. It has the weight and bass of a proper home speaker, so it works as a main speaker for a living room or kitchen, then comes into its own in the garden on a summer evening.
The upgrade from the original Move is significant: stereo sound, more than double the battery life, and a USB-C port that can charge your phone or connect a turntable.

How long does the Sonos Move 2 battery last?
Up to 24 hours on a full charge. It comes with a charging base, and the battery can be replaced if it ever needs to be.
Is the Sonos Move 2 waterproof?
Move 2 is rated IP56, so it's protected against dust and splashing water, such as rain in the garden. It isn't designed to be submerged.
What's the difference between Sonos Move and Move 2?
Move 2 adds stereo sound from two angled tweeters, a much longer battery of up to 24 hours, Wi-Fi 6, a USB-C port for line-in and charging your phone, and a replaceable battery.
Can the Sonos Move 2 charge my phone?
Yes. Plug your phone into the USB-C port on the back and it charges from Move 2's battery.
Can I use the Sonos Move 2 with Bluetooth straight out of the box?
Not straight away. Move 2 needs to be set up once in the Sonos app on Wi-Fi before it can connect over Bluetooth. After that first setup, you can use it over Bluetooth anywhere, with or without Wi-Fi.
Can I stereo pair two Sonos Move 2 speakers?
Yes, on Wi-Fi. Set the pair up in the Sonos app and two Move 2s play the left and right channels, and at home the pair can also play Bluetooth audio from your phone. Away from Wi-Fi, stereo pairing is not available and each Move 2 plays on its own. Only two Move 2s can be paired together.
