Dolby Atmos: Exceptional sound all around
Go deeper into every scene with spatial audio. Advanced processing creates phantom height channels for Dolby Atmos content to immerse you in a multi dimensional soundstage. You'll hear planes as if they're flying over head, sense footsteps moving across the room, and feel music swell around you.
Crystal Clear Dialogue
Oscar-winning sound engineers helped fine-tune Beam to make sure you hear every word and can always follow the story. For even greater clarity when characters whisper or the action intensifies, turn on Speech Enhancement in the Sonos app.

Create A Home Cinema System
Add surround sound speakers, or a Subwoofer or both. Create your own home cinema system as and when you are ready. Simply add your surround speakers/subwoofer and connect to power to create a more immersive experience.
Add Deep, Bold Bass
Add a Sonos Sub to deliver deep, impactful bass. Available in either a compact Sub Mini or larger Sub 4. Just connect to power and the Sub will wirelessly connect to your soundbar - no more messly wires!
Add Surround Sound
Create a Dolby Atmos surround experience with two Sonos surround speakers. Either two Sonos ERA 300 or two ERA 100 SL speakers. Simply position either side of your main viewing position and connect to power - no need to run cables around the room!
The Sonos Beam Gen 2 sits in the middle of the Sonos soundbar range and, for many people, it's the sweet spot. It's a meaningful step up from the Ray — bigger, more powerful, and with proper Dolby Atmos support via HDMI eARC — but at a considerably more accessible price than the Arc Ultra. If you have a room up to around 5–6 metres and a TV with an HDMI eARC port, the Beam Gen 2 is very hard to beat.
The headline upgrade over the original Beam is Dolby Atmos. This is delivered through advanced processing that creates virtual height channels, so on Atmos-encoded films and TV shows you get a noticeably more three-dimensional sound — effects that feel like they're moving around and above you rather than just across the front. It's not the same as the physical upward-firing driver you get on the Arc Ultra, but in a typical living room it's genuinely impressive. The Beam Gen 2 connects via HDMI eARC, which also means it can pass higher quality audio signals than an optical connection allows.
Dialogue is a real strength. Like the Ray, the Beam Gen 2 was tuned with input from Hollywood sound engineers, and voices cut through cleanly at any volume. Speech Enhancement mode in the Sonos app takes this further if you need it, and Night Sound is there for late-evening viewing when you don't want the dynamic range getting out of hand.
We've had the Beam Gen 2 on demo in our Fleet showroom for some time and it consistently impresses — particularly when we run it alongside the Ray so customers can hear the difference directly. It fills a room convincingly, and it sounds just as good for music as it does for TV.
It's also a solid foundation for a home cinema system. Add a pair of Era 300s as rear surrounds and you get true Dolby Atmos surround sound with the Era 300s' upward-firing drivers contributing real height channels. Add a Sub Mini or Sub 4 and the low-end performance takes another significant step forward. The whole system connects wirelessly, with no speaker cable to run.
Setup is quick — connect the HDMI cable to your TV's eARC port, plug in the power, open the Sonos app, and Trueplay will tune the soundbar to your room.
